This is ssaemblog on YouTube. I'm the hard of hearing girl with the deep hard of hearing accent. I did have my makeup blog on BlogSpot but I figured Tumblr would be a better place to have it.

I will be posting my makeup tutorials, FOTDs, little reviews, haul photos, etc.

I hope you'll follow me on Tumblr and subscribe to my channel on YouTube.

Jack Black Vanilla and Lavender Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 15|
Let me tell you.
My lips have always been ridiculously picky when it comes to lip balms. I’ve tried Softlips and hated it. I’ve tried EOS and really fuckin’ hated it. I’ve tried Korres lip butters and that was just the worst. I like Carmex. It’s okay, but it can also be a little much greasy for me.
So what the hell am I going to try that’ll cooperate with me?
Jack Black, obviously. I bought one after both Christine and Leesha said this brand is amazing. So when my local JCSephora finally opened last year, I saw a set of two sold for 10$ and purchased the set to try it out.
That was one of the best decisions I ever made. My extremely dry, cracked, and chapped lips have finally found a formula that was absolutely wonderful. I could put this on in the morning (or just before I apply lipstick), have it wear off completely, and my lips will still be happy by nighttime. Most lip balms would just dry out my lips even more.
Now… I have to say something negative about this particular scent, Vanilla and Lavender. I loathe it. Ugh. When I had the duo, it was Black Tea and something else and Grapefruit and Ginger. Those were lovely scents. I got this one because it said vanilla (and Mango Mandarin isn’t available on its own at Sephora so…). I like vanilla. The reviews said it was more vanilla than lavender but that’s incorrect. I don’t smell vanilla in this at all. It’s all lavender. And it’s nauseating. Fortunately, the scent does go away in a few minutes.
I will definitely continue to repurchase these lip balms. I’m just not going to buy this scent ever again.
Now if only my JCSephora didn’t stop selling Jack Black products.

review: Korres Guava Lip Butter|
First of all, if you’re expecting a happy review, I’d… get out ‘cos this isn’t going to be happy.
Korres products are currently 50% off at JCSephoras. At least I think so. I know they are 50% off at my place and another place… wherever the girl on Soompi that posted about it lives. I originally wanted to try a concealer but my shade was sold out. I went back the next day and decided to try something else. I know a lot of people like the lip butters so I decided to try one.
Out of all the shades available, I decided to go with Guava since it’s the most “clear”. I just want something that I can put under any lipstick/gloss that I want to use.
I was hoping for good results but… received bad results instead. This was okay at first. When it’s on my lips, it feels nice. But when it’s not there anymore? It makes my lips so, so dry. I’m pretty sure they started to crack. It was not a nice feeling. I continued to try it a few more times but it was the same result. My lips = a desert of sadness (thank you, Rachel).
My Carmex vanilla chapstick that was less than three dollars is better than this product, in my opinion. Hell, I’d rather purchase a Jack Black lip balm. I love those. I’ve already returned this product to Sephora earlier today.
